The Malaysian eVISA is an online travel authorization that is issued by the government of Malaysia for visitors from eligible countries traveling to the country for tourism purposes. The eVISA was officially launched by the Malaysia Immigration Department in January 2016.

How lone is my eVISA for Malaysia valid?

The approved Malaysian eVISA is a Single-Entry Visa (SEV) and is valid to stay in Malaysia for a maximum of thirty (30) consecutive days. The eVISA is valid to enter Malaysia for three (3) months from the date it was approved.

What should I do after I receive my Malaysian eVisa ?

Your eVISA will be sent via email once your application is approved. Print one (1) copy of the approved eVISA in A4 format either in color or in black and white. Make sure the printed copy is clear and legible.

When should I apply for an eVISA for Malaysia?

You can apply for an eVISA once you have decided the date or have an estimated date for your trip to Malaysia.

What should I do if I have more than one nationality?

If the applicant has more than one (1) nationality, he/she must choose a passport to use to fill out the application form. The same passport must then be used to travel to Malaysia. There cannot be any inconsistencies between the travel document and the information provided on the eVISA application.

Is it possible to extend my eVISA for Malaysia?

Holders of an approved eVISA are only allowed to stay a maximum of thirty (30) consecutive days. As per guidelines from the Malaysian government, eVISA cannot be extended. However, you can apply for another eVISA if you are traveling to Malaysia again.
